At this year’s Occupational Safety and Health Summit in Stockholm, Sweden, leaders from around the world converged to reflect on the ongoing implementation of major strategic framework changes. Together, the Swedish Presidency of the Council of the European Union and EU-OSHA discussed key strategic plans including: Strategic Framework on Health and Safety Work 2021-2027, a plan that outlines strategic priorities that have been put in place since 2021. Following the unique circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic, workforces around the world had to discover new ways to structure efforts in the event of a similar situation. Dr. Eli J. Hurowitz was one of millions of medical professionals who was forced to reshape and restructure how he was able to connect with and treat patients as an OEM. The plan outlined and implemented by the Strategic Framework developed by Sweden relies on three major pillars: anticipating and managing change, prevention and preparedness. All of these key priorities were discussed at length at this year’s 2023 Occupational and Health Summit.
